About Bayfern Home Care
A Saint John company built on a simple idea: people should be able to grow older in their own homes, with help from people they trust.
Why we started
Bayfern Home Care is a new, locally owned home care company in Saint John. We built it around what families most often ask for from home care: the same caregivers each week, a coordinator who picks up the phone, and honest answers about what we can and cannot do.
That means smaller caseloads and caregivers who live near their clients. And when someone has been turned away elsewhere, we look for a safe way to help, whether they are 8 or 98.
The name comes from the place: the Bay of Fundy and the fern-covered woods around Saint John. Our logo is a fiddlehead, the young fern New Brunswick is known for, sprouting from the bay inside a home. It stands for what we do: helping people keep growing, at home. Our tagline says the rest: familiar faces, every visit.

What we stand for
Dignity first
We ask before we help, knock before we enter and treat every home as the client's, not our workplace.
Familiar faces
Small, steady teams. Your parent should know who is coming, and the caregiver should know how they like their tea.
Straight answers
Clear prices, honest advice about what we can and cannot do, and a real person when you call.
Local roots
Owned and run in Saint John. We hire caregivers from the communities we serve and plan care around how this region actually works.
Referrals welcome
We welcome referrals from families, hospital discharge planners, family physicians, the Extra-Mural Program, Social Development case managers and Veterans Affairs Canada. Bayfern is a private company and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these programs. If you are a professional looking for a home support provider, we would like to hear from you.
