1. Not medical advice
Information on this website, including our guides, is general and educational. It is not a substitute for advice from a physician, nurse, pharmacist or other qualified health professional. Do not ignore professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read here.
2. Emergencies and crisis lines
- Emergency: call 911.
- Health advice from a nurse, any time: call 811 (Tele-Care).
- Suicide or mental health crisis: call or text 988.
Bayfern Home Care is not an emergency or crisis service.
3. Non-medical services
We provide non-medical home support by personal support workers and home support workers. We do not provide nursing, diagnosis or treatment. Descriptions of what a PSW can do are general; the tasks provided for each client are set out in that client's written care plan.
4. Funding information
Information about government programs, insurance and tax credits is provided in good faith to help you get started. Programs set and change their own rules, and only they can decide eligibility and coverage. Please confirm details directly with the program, your insurer, or an accountant.
5. Availability of care
We work hard to say yes, including to people other agencies have turned down. All care is still subject to an assessment, safety and caregiver availability in your area. Statements such as "same week" or "within a few days" describe what is typical, not a guarantee.
6. Photos
Photographs on this website are licensed stock images used for illustration only. They do not show Bayfern clients or staff, and they do not imply that any person shown has a particular condition, disability or health need, or uses our services. If you appear in a photo on this site and want it removed, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
7. No government affiliation
Bayfern Home Care Inc. is a private company. It is not part of, or endorsed by, the Government of New Brunswick, the Department of Social Development, the Extra-Mural Program, Veterans Affairs Canada or any other agency named on this website.
8. No guaranteed outcomes
Good care can make a real difference, but every person's health and circumstances are different. We do not guarantee any particular health outcome, recovery or result.
9. Languages
This website is available in English and French. We do our best to provide services in the language you prefer; the availability of bilingual caregivers can vary by area and schedule.
