Turned down by another agency?
Complex behaviours, heavy care, rural addresses, short notice. We take on care others decline, and if we truly can't, we help you find who can.
How getting started works
Care can often start within a week of your first call.
- 1
Call or send a message
Tell us what is going on. A care coordinator answers your questions and books a time to visit. There is no cost and no commitment.
- 2
Free care visit at home
We meet your parent at home, talk through their routines and wishes, and look at safety in the house. Family is welcome to join in person or by phone.
- 3
A written care plan
You get a plan in plain language: what help, which days, how many hours and what it costs. Change it whenever you need to.
- 4
Meet your caregiver
We match a caregiver based on needs, personality and location, and introduce them before care begins. If the fit isn't right, we change it.
- 5
Regular check-ins
A coordinator checks in with your family, visits regularly and updates the plan as needs change.

Caregivers who live in your community
We aim to match caregivers who live close to your family, which helps visits start on time, even in February.

You may not have to pay for all of it
We help families work out what applies to them before care begins.

- New Brunswick's Long-Term Care Program may subsidize home support after an assessment.
- Veterans Affairs Canada
- The Veterans Independence Program can help eligible veterans pay for personal care and housekeeping.
- Private insurance
- Some health and long-term care policies cover home care. We provide receipts for claims.
- Disability Support Program
- Adults aged 19 to 64 with a long-term disability may get help paying for personal support and respite.
- Supports for children
- Family Supports for Children with Disabilities can help pay for respite and home support for kids under 19.
- Tax credits
- Attendant care can count toward the medical expense tax credit. Ask your accountant.
Questions families ask first
See all questionsHow soon can care start?
Often within a few days of the free care visit, and sometimes sooner for hospital discharges. Call us and we will tell you honestly what is possible this week.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Most visits are at least 2 hours, so your caregiver has time to do things properly. Some services, like medication reminders, can be shorter when combined with other visits. Ask us about your situation.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Care is booked week to week. You can increase, reduce or pause care with notice, and we will never pressure you to book more than you need.
Will my parent see the same caregiver?
We aim for a small, consistent team so your parent sees familiar faces. We introduce new caregivers before their first visit and tell you about schedule changes as early as we can.
Are your caregivers screened and trained?
Every caregiver has a criminal record and vulnerable sector check, reference checks and an interview, plus first aid and CPR. Personal care is provided by caregivers with training in personal support.
